This playmat is perfect. I have bought one before and it didn't fold or compacted for smaller space. This is so much better since I can use it in smaller spaces and folds away neatly into a corner. The thickness is thick but soft, perfect and easy to clean. It didn't have any chemical smell either. I aerated it overnight and gave it a wipe with a damp cloth before using it. Both sides are usable. I would have preferred if both sides were gender neutral rather than one side gender neutral and the blue side (as pictured) is more for boys. Overall, I love it and my baby loves it!
